I connect the world of capital to science that is shaping our future.

I have been contributing to the technology commercialization ecosystem for over two decades, from engineering to commercial strategy, business development to investment.

As a General Partner and Chief Scientific Officer at Awaken Capital, I invest in early-stage, tech-enabled platform companies using innovation to address some of the world’s toughest challenges.

After studying electrical engineering at MIT (bachelor’s) and biomedical engineering at MIT/Harvard (PhD), I transitioned into business roles in consulting and business development, and then into venture capital at OS Fund.

Over the years I’ve been grateful to meet and work with some of the world’s most innovative scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and investors.

I have advised top biotech and pharmaceutical companies, helped research groups at the Wyss Institute at Harvard commercialize their work, established a community forum for microfluidics commercialization in New England and served on the board of directors of the Hertz Foundation, which identifies and supports the nation’s most promising innovators in science and technology.
